hey guys, i arrived after about 29 hours of crazy travel…after the flight from shanghai took off an elderly woman became ill and the doctor in front of me had to attend to her…it was a big ordeal, just like chaos in the streets, with everyone on the plane gathering around…i thought she was dead for sure…the plane had to return to shanghai and make a hard landing…hard because we were still full of fuel….the lady was fine but didnt want to get off the plane…so there was a big argument and finally she got off…but she got up under her own power and kinda lively, so people were like wtf??!! we thought this lady was about to go and now she is popping out of her seat like an overzealous student…they checked out the plane and everything was fine so we left again…the good samaritan doc got put in first class…i was sitting next to a guy who had been in suzhou for a month on business…he kept saying there are no birds in china…also, the clouds dont move…but he was impressed with how young ktv girls are…whenever the flight attendant made an announcement in chinese, he would say “xie xie”…the plane on the food was shit and i wondered if this is the first impression we want to give people coming to the US - u r gonna starve, unless u work very hard…i thought the immigration people would hassle me about being out of the country for so long but they stamped me through and said have a nice day…a Mexican lady got a harder time…the lady checking bags, however, did ask “u didnt bring back any of those funny beef candies or any other weird things they got over there, did ya?”. home sweet home…also, we call visitors, visitors, not foreigners…that is “wen ming”….but to be honest…American people…too big…a few hours at OHare can confirm that…anyway, we reached chicago late so most people missed connecting flights…good thing was, chicago weather was bad, so some of those flights were delayed…i got booked on another flight to nyc, which was also delayed more…when we took off i had an aisle seat…the aisle seat opposite mine was occupied by a beautiful creature…sometimes a glance is enough…so i finally made it to nyc…the taxi drivers here are into the same old bullshit, even with their new cars and technology…anyway i cant sleep…its cold and rainy in nyc…i dont know if i have the whole world in front of or behind me…
